Citrus Mower (Citrus Wheat Beer)

Ingredients

  • 6 lbs Wheat Extract
  • Zest from 4 Lemons
  • Zest from 4 Oranges
  • 1 oz. Hallertauer hops
  • Weihenstephan Weizen Yeast (Wyeast #3068)

Boil Schedule

  • 60 Minutes - Add Hops
  • 15 Minutes - Add Zest of Lemons and Oranges

Process

  1. Filled a pot with 1 1/2 gallons of water.
  2. When the water reached about 100 degrees we added the Wheat Extract.
  3. Once wort started to boil we added Hallertauer Hops.
  4. 45 minutes after Hops were added we added Zest of Lemons and Oranges
  5. Cooled with wort chiller.
  6. Put into Carboy.
  7. Top off with cool water to 5 gallons.
  8. Pitched yeast
