Colonial Williamsburg (Wheat Ale)

Ingredients

  • 6 lbs of Wheat Extract
  • 2 oz Cascade Hops
  • American Wheat Yeast (Wyeast #1010)

Boil Schedule

  • 60 Minutes - Add .5 oz Hops
  • 10 Minutes - Add 1 oz Hops
  • 0 Minutes - Add .5 oz Hops

Process

  1. Filled a pot with 3 1/2 gallons of water.
  2. When the water reached about 100 degrees we added the Wheat Extract.
  3. Once wort started to boil we added .5 oz Cascade Hops.
  4. With 10 minutes left, add 1 oz Cascade Hops.
  5. Remove from heat and add .5 oz Cascade Hops.
  6. Cooled with wort chiller.
  7. Put into Carboy.
  8. Top off with cool water to 5 gallons.
  9. Pitched yeast
